Setting up a TikTok Shop shipping template
2 min read
Why this matters
Each TikTok order carries the shipping type from your template.
- Shipped by Seller: we pack the order, send it with our courier, and when it is dispatched we send the tracking number to TikTok. The order shows as shipped on TikTok. You do not need to do anything.
- TikTok Shipping: TikTok's own collection or drop-off. Do not use it. These orders may be cancelled.
Create the template
The screens below are in TikTok Shop Seller Center. TikTok may change their names.
- Open "Logistics" and then "Shipping".
- Press "Add Template".
- Choose "Shipped by Seller" and press "Continue".
- Fill in the template:
- "Template Name": a name you will recognise.
- "Flat Rate": the shipping fee your buyers pay. You can set different fees by weight.
- "New Region": add this if you sell to regions outside your main one.
- Press "Submit".
The shipping fee in this template is what your buyers pay you. It does not change what we charge you for sending the order.
Link the template to your warehouse
- In the list of templates, find your new template and click the link under "Linked To".
- On the warehouse page, press "Change Shipping Template" in the "Action" column.
- Choose your new template, not the default one, and press "Save".
After you save, all products in your TikTok shop use this template and this warehouse.
When something goes wrong
An order says we are unable to ship it because the shipping template is not "Shipped by Seller" and the handover method is DROP_OFF. This order uses TikTok Shipping, and it may be cancelled. Link a "Shipped by Seller" template to your warehouse, so your next orders can be sent.
TikTok still shows the order as not shipped. We send the tracking number when the order is dispatched. If TikTok does not accept our courier for that order, the tracking may not appear. Check the order in Orders on your channel, and if it was dispatched, ask us in the chat on our website, with the order number.
A TikTok order did not arrive in Orders. Only orders with products from your channel's My Products come over, and only when TikTok marks them as waiting for shipment. Products you listed on TikTok yourself, without uploading or matching them from here, are ignored.
