Removing products from a channel

4 min read

Remove or unlink: which one?

  • Remove: the product leaves My Products of this channel. We stop sending its stock.
  • Unlink: the product stays in My Products, but it is no longer linked to a listing in your store. We stop sending its stock to that listing. Use this when you linked it to the wrong listing, or you want to create it again.

Remove one product

  1. Open Channels in the menu, click your channel and open My Products.
  2. Find the product. Use the search box or the Discontinued filter.
  3. On WooCommerce, eBay, TikTok Shop, Wix and Allegro, press the red skull button at the end of the row. Its tip says Unselect product. This will remove the product from ....
  4. A window asks Remove ... from ...? and says The product will be unselected from this channel. Confirm.

What happens to the listing in your store:

Platform Listing in your store
WooCommerce The product is deleted from your store.
Wix The product is deleted from your store.
eBay The listing is ended.
Shopify The product stays in Shopify. Delete it there if you do not want it.
TikTok Shop, Allegro The listing stays. Delete it in your seller account.

On Shopify

On Shopify the button at the end of the row depends on the product:

  • A linked product shows the unlink button, Unlink product from Shopify. It only breaks the link. The product stays in My Products and in Shopify.
  • A product that is not linked shows the skull button, Remove product. It removes the product from My Products straight away, without asking.

So to remove a linked Shopify product: first unlink it, then press Remove product.

On a manual channel

On a manual channel press the red cross, Remove product from list. There is no store to change.

Remove or unlink many products

This works on platform channels, not on a manual channel.

  1. Tick the products in the list.
  2. Press one of the buttons that appear above the list:
    • Unlink (...): breaks the link with your store. The products stay in My Products and the listings stay in your store.
    • Unlink & Delete (...): breaks the link and removes the products from My Products. The listings stay in your store, so delete them there if you no longer want them.

There is no confirmation window for these two buttons. Check what you ticked before you press.

Remove a bundle

Bundles are on the My Bundles tab. See Creating bundles.

Discontinued and not-for-sale products

When we stop selling a product, its row shows a crossed-out box: This product line has been discontinued. Please remove this item. Remove it from the channel and from your store, so your customers cannot order it.

A crossed-out dollar means This product line is currently not for sale. We send zero stock for it. It may come back on sale, so you can keep it in your list.

When something goes wrong

  • I removed the product but it is still in my store. On Shopify, TikTok Shop and Allegro, and after Unlink or Unlink & Delete on any platform, the listing stays in your store. Delete it in your store.
  • I removed the product by mistake. Add it again with Add products, then use Match with this product (or Match it with an existing product in your shop) to link it to the listing that is still in your store. On WooCommerce and Wix the listing was deleted, so use Create new product. See Using My Products.
  • "Not allowed to revise an ended item" on eBay. The listing was ended, by you, by eBay or by removing the product. Unlink the product and create it again.
  • My eBay items all ended suddenly. Removing products from the channel ends their eBay listings. Also check your eBay account: eBay ends listings when an account is restricted or over its selling limits. Look at the Logs tab for the answer eBay gave.
